Flipping Normals

Hi

I am new to Cheetah and have been working my way through the samples. I am stuck on the campagne flute though. The last bit recomends creating a cylinder and then flip the normals - tools>polygon>flip normal. I created a cylinder but couldn't get the menu active until I made the cylinder editable. I then selected the cylinder in the object browser and went tool>polygon>flip mormal, but nothing happened.

Can anybody let me no where I am going wrong?:redface:
 
Did you first make a polygon mesh out of the cylinder object?
(you can do this by double-clicking the cylinder object in the object list)

You have to know that the objects which you get from the green polygon toolbar icon actually aren't yet real polygon objects. They are just "concepts" of how such an object would look like. Same applies for modifiers and creators.

I had converted the cylinder as you described, it was the camera view that was set outside the cylinder that was throwing me.

Your affirmation of the process made me investigate further and that't when I realsied my error. Hopefully I will get more confident at using Cheetah as I go on, and I won't make as many simple errors.
