I have a seamless(tileable) texture is there a way I can UV unwrap such that the texturing is seamless? For example can I UV unwrap a rock without any seams?
Yes and no - it can become quite difficult - but hopefully you don´t need to unwrap the mesh at all.
Try the following to get an idea.
1: Load your seamless texture into the color channel of a new material.
2: Hit the "edit" button
3. Change to "UV Editing" layout.
4: generate a box and make it editable.
5: Assign material to it and add the" subdivision modifier" to the box.
6: Now pick a polygon and extrude it and watch the texture moving over the new geometry.
7: Add more geometry. You might find the result quite convincing without being in the need to unwrap the mesh manually.
