Open view not the same Is this a bug?

I save the project file with the perspective view set as I want it. When I re-open the project the perspective view is changed to very close in. Is this a bug?

I've had that happen before. I usually put a pose tag on my camera though, so I never worried about it much. Have you tried copying and pasting your objects into a new file and see if it persists?

The perspective view can't be "tagged", it resets to either a default
location or it may be where it was if you saved the layout.

I got to test that a bit more.
