Pivot Point problem?

I have a pivot point problem, and I'm not sure there is an answer.
Is this possible? Please see the image.

Your pivot point should be at the intersection of a line through the center
lengthwise and a line from the corner of the box at a 45 degree angle.

Not sure what Frank is doing? I imagine animation along a spline(just Guessing)
Zoo works well for A and B but not C. don't want animation, but may be the only way???

I put the pivot point at the tip of the object.

I hope this helps.

Same concept as ZooHead. I used splined F-curves instead of intermediate keyframes at ±22.5°. ZooHead´s solution may be simpler and possibly better.
