This guy printed a castle using concrete

One of the interesting things is that he can vary the layer width — thinner to allow more overhang, or thicker to build faster.

It seems that 3D printing technology is making it's way into many different industries.
This reminds me of the printers developed to make pottery, similar material at a different scale.

Some economist, I think it was Robert Reich, suggested that asking someone whether they worked with computer in the late 90s was like asking if someone worked with electricity in the 1920s. It had become the norm.

I think 3D printing is the next ubiquitous technology. And its partner — 3D scanning — likewise.

Our industrial designer / product engineer now has three printers in his workshop. It's allowed him to rapid prototype new products and some upgrades to our existing products. Very cool stuff indeed!
