this script can transform polygon mesh with uv info. so I made sphere object from polyhedra object ( not ball object ), then edited uv map of it so that uv of all polygon size were **almost** same.
I was creating the wire mesh using the Terrain Object (100x100 polys) and loading a height map - moderate success creating the mesh - but I could not warp successfully into the sphere or half-sphere - I'll have to try this script - Great contributions Hiroto and everyone - got my wheels turning.
