RIB export in C3D 4.6.4

RIB export in C3D 4.6.4

What is the current capability of rib export in C3D? I have exported a rib file and tried to render it with Aqsis and Pixie, both of which fail due to parse errors of the rib. Being new to renderman I'm wandering if its C3D or 'pilot error' ;-)
