While we wait for Falcon to offer volumetrics, I would strongly recommend just exporting the scene to Blender and using actual volumetrics (with Eevee or Cycles; both are fine). I created this scene (based on the old "death takes a pawn" thread) to test out volumetrics and SSS in Blender Eevee. This 4K image renders in a few seconds.
It's now eight years since C3D early adopters beta version 7 was published and the waiting for those missing features started...
Indeed I can now render everything I want with Blender on my Ryzen+RTX PC but somehow it's no fun compared to working with Cheetah on a Mac.
