scaling with proportion

scaling with proportion

On some videos i can see that scaling on object can be done with maintaining the proportion .

So what i'm trying to say is : i put a box in the modeller view and make it smaller or bigger without having to put in the nummeric values and maintain it's proportions .
Is this done with holding the CMD key ?
Sometimes it works ,and sometimes it doesn't .
Maybe my mousepointer has to be in an exact position ?

Hi,
just select the scale mode of the transform widget by clicking on one of the scale handles. Once the little boxes highlight you can scale proportionally by clicking into the empty space (not on the gadget) and dragging the mouse.
