Isolating one large mesh to multiple children

Hi Guys,

Is there some sort of automation that will allow me to break apart all of these shapes to single and individual mesh parts without manual selection>?.

I think you must make editable select polygons for each letter and use the split tool..
No automation I can think of. Others may know.
