Linear subdivide question

Hi!

Is there a way to divide a square into 3x3 or 5x5 instead of just 2x2?

Use a parametric cube and change the x,y,z sections in the property panel to 3,5 etc. then make it editable.

That was meant?
I thought of "square" like a quad in a mesh

Because this will not work and I think that´s good how it is.
