UV Tag

Hi, I am reading in the documentation about adding a UV Tag to an polygon object.... but where do I find it. I can't find any UV Tag in the software?! Can anyone help me locate it?

Hi and welcome.
The UV-tag is not longer available (the docs need an update).
Go in UV-Layout mode, select your object and make a right click in the UV-editor window and choose UV-Mapper. In its properties you can now choose from different projection modes: cubic, flat etc.

Can I add to separate UV maps to the same polygon object (on separate materials) and size them independently?

Theoretically I would say: Yes, without knowing your special case.
