Splitting an STL into parts for large 3D print
Hi all - hope someone can help.
I have a stl file that I would like to divide into many many smaller parts. This is to allow me to 3D print the many parts and glue them together in a very large print
I want to divide my model into 64 parts (maybe more) and export the individual stalls for the smaller segments - is there any way to do that in Cheetah?
I have tried boolean-ing the model with a large box and using subtract and intersect boolean settings then saving the 2 files to get both halves of the split - then step and repeat until I'm crosseyed and my mouse hand no longer works
Thinking there has to be a smarter way
Thanks
Ian
