Extrude & text issues..

Extrude & text issues..

Hi folks,

Apologies for the novice question, but the text doesn't seem to extrude to the default setting when extrude is applied?

My process is this:

highlight text
click on extrude
drag extrude into the same group as the text.

Is there anything I'm missing - could this be a bug?

Most likely not:
How is your object browser looking and why you´re not have a look into the Help:
