A bit too minimal...

A bit too minimal...

* What could be the reason for the subsequent phenomenon:
* The model looks OK in the editor.
* On rendering, areas of the model turn invisible  . As can bee seen, some areas seem to be surgically removed along a straight line, in other parts there are just gaps.
* Fiddles with the camera or the object (zooming, rotating, etc) have no effect at all. Switching camera mode and other params shows no difference either.

Scaling in the range from 0.01 to 1000 does not change the render:frown:
PS1: Thank you, Frank
PS2: Dumping & replacing the camera does nothing either

I started from scratch again: No change.
SS 01: the full surface shows OK in the editor and renders OK
I then select all faces, perform an inner extrude and delete the inner panels. This leaves just the grid along the edges.
SS 02: grid along the edges shows OK in the editor
SS 03: that is what the render produces

* I have an appointment in the afternoon and won´t be back until the evening.

PS: this is not really important, it is just a mystery to me what is happening here.

I guess this is a file for the doctor. I can render with a wireframe shader.
But the camera freaks out in target mode and I get a NaN (not a number) instantly at the camera position property (after the inner-extrude+delete process) when I try to maneuver the camera.

Cheers
Frank

What seems to work (and scale is the issue):
Scale up to 10x10x10
Reset via coord-system
Take a new camera - zoom out
Adjust AA: Min.samples to 4x4
Render:

Cheers
Frank

I just ran into this problem with a tree I made in Plant Factory.
The leaves rendered fine, but the trunk disappeared, it was a
scale problem as Frank said. After scaling it up, it worked fine.

* Thank you, Frank
* I did notice the NaN indicator at one stage but somehow forgot about it. Sorry for not recognising what would have been the lever for a solution. I guess that a quick tweak to my fragmentary Java script will fix the problem in future.
