:icon_thumbup: Nice!
I like the composition, the theme and the feeling it evokes.
How on earth did you do the lighting? Could you share the specifics?

Yellow-green area light under the marque (.7 intensity). Blue point light off on the left side rear (1.5 intensity). Yellow-green point light in front up high. White spot light (.05 intensity) floating in the upper front and a spot under the marque. White (.1 intensity) area light in the right lobby space. No Skylight.

Then I added emissive materials to the backlit surfaces and lightbulbs. The alien posters have a bit of emissive to make them look a little backlit. In an ideal world I should add posters on the interior surfaces for depth.

'The Biltmore' text, created in Cheetah, has The Cheetah gold metallic shader on extruded sides, with an emissive material added to the front surfaces. The movie listings were made in Illustrator and brought in as pdfs., where the different colors added.

There's an hdri in camera and a background landscape photo of LA.

Shadows on in the camera. I turned them off and had no transparency on the lights until I had things basically the way I wanted them. This cut down on rendering times until I was ready to do the final tweaks.

:-D Thanks gregvoth
Your specifics are really in depth. I really appreciate them.
That took quite a bit of lighting smarts.
I took a screen shot of your answer and when my head isn’t bogged down and tired I will try to digest it all.

Yes, a bit specific, but I wanted to pass along how low some of the settings were.

Now, if someone here could show a tutorial on making a fairly realistic car IN Cheetah! I make quick ones using a box, but they're hardly detailed and streamlined like that last car posted by Weedo...

Great Job.
Now where are all the people? You could use billboard people, crowds etc. Lots of free ones on the internet. I enclosed 1 Billboard.zip to get you started.I made these in Poser. EasyPezy. :icon_thumbup:

Thanks Uncle. I was thinking about adding people but hadn't yet thought doing it via billboard. Thanks for the sample. Can you export from Poser via .png?
