Lighting and HDRI on metals?

I watched the tutorial novolume made on modeling a magnifying glass and decided to build something out of almost entirely 1 cylinder.

So here's my lightsaber, I've applied a standard silver and standard hammered metal to it, but the HDRI makes it this really nasty gold color... I want it to be straight silver. if I turn down the reflection that helps some.

Also, If I add light, it doesn't help..at all.

I've been rendering this thing and tweak options for over an hour.. Super confused.

Take your HDRI image and change the hue in Photoshop.

Just make a copy of your HDRI and change the hues, brightness, contrast, to suit you. :icon_thumbup:

Nice job on the light saber. Good tips on HDRI rendering color output.

Is HDRI only possible with the special lighting radiosity tag, or can it ever work with hard shadows as with a point light and ambient light combo?
