Flapping Wings in animation

I've created a cartoon bee with flapping wings. I've made a 1 second long take with it's wings beating. How do I use this flapping bee in an animation so I don't have to manually move it's wings as it flys around the scene, or even better a new scene?
Any help would be appreciated.

There's a currently unsatisfactory workaround which I'm guessing Martin intends to implement properly in some future version (the online help currently recommends AGAINST doing exactly what I am saying below...)

  1. Create a file with your flapping animation. The animation should be *fairly* simple.
  2. Repeat the animation loop a LOT of times (this will be tedious, and is the unsatisfactor part -- convert each keyframe into a pose and stamp out the sequence for a long enough time to cover whatever primary animation you're planning).
  3. Create a new file for your primary animation and incorporate your previous file as a "Smart Folder".

Basically, all this process would need to be really elegant would be for Smart Folders to be able to loop the animation (rather than for you to do it manually).

Note that this is all terribly flaky right now ... in fact the containing file occasionally gets its animation take set to the duration of the contained file ... which is a bug.
