Not sure about Christmas trees but it works well on beveled boxes. Although what you would use them for is another thing?

woah what a groovy mat !

i mean decorating, using the pigs as glitter balls on a white tree...

Oh yes I see what you mean, Christmas tree piggies. Yes it is groovy, maybe if you were designing the interior of a nightclub . . . or something?

I imagine these ghost can produce very nice decorative architectural glasses (interior doors, furnitures & co.)... but maybe it's just my distorted point of view

well yes, basically the trans blur allows to do satinized glass (dunno the correct english term) as used on many interior items, only it's extremely slow to render ...

update: i just did a dielectric version (on the right), it renders even slower (assumably it does reflection blurring) and looks better because the lack of pronounced reflection fits the satin effect better.

more misty pigs

image1.jpgimage2.jpg

fog and mist, second with directional input for kinda jet stream effect (look at the legs).
somehow i'm unable to produce black smoke with emissive materials  but the diffuse channel always shows visible edges with i-n node input.

update: solved the edge problem, so here's some smoke too

Gammelfleisch

Ok - couldn´t resist any longer. This is the stadium just before it ends in Archie´s black smoke.

Maybe useful for zombies or alike.;)

Cheers
Frank

PS: who´s wondering about "Gammelfleisch", Amazon.de seems to have a huge selection at top prizes if you want to try some.:p

Very delicious, Archie. Great use of E101, E4711, E0815 and food coloring!

So we´re coming close to X-mas.
This one is for Alessandro as dessert called "ChiapasOil".;)

thanks Frank, very delicious! (how did you know I'm chocolat-addicted?)

and since we got the cooking route... just another useless material, based on Archie's "shithappens".

please note that a veritable Pizza Margherita (DOP) has basil and not origanum ;)

cheers,
A

Hi all,

Just wanted to say a big thank you for this thread ! I had first decided to wait for a future Cheetah release with more baking and scripting possibilities before upgrading... but these decorated pigs have shown me what I was stupidly missing, and I just did the upgrade :)
