I'm just curious what most of the Cheetah3D users are using at the moment.

Os X

I have the Panther running on my iMac, mainly because my Garageband projects didn't work any more with newer versions;
on my MacBook I ran Tiger till early 2009 (and still on an external drive),
now 10.5.7 with which I'm very unhappy.
10.5.6 did mess up the connection with my router; that's better now on 10.5.7 but Safari 4 is not working as well as Safari 3 on 10.5.5.
Though I have TimeMachine backups of the previous versions I don't now how to migrate to an earlier system with keeping all the new apps I have installed in the mean time, if so, I certainly would go back to 10.5.5. wit Safari 4 beta.
I do not plan any snowy update and am frankly amazed how everyone updates and then complains about incompatibilities.
Next year I will acquire a new Mac, with 10.6 of course, but if Apple further refuses to provide quadcores and blueray in affordable desktops and laptops it will be a clone or a PC, meaning bye bye Cheetah and welcome, well, whatever runs on Windumbs...

1.6 since a few weeks!
I wanted to buy it, but it was sold out.
Luckly, a friend of mine had a copy of a family license!

I am using Leopard on my G5 Dual PowerPC (not Intel), and therefore no Snow Leopard on board.

10.5 on new iMac
10.5 on Mac Mini
10.5 on MacBook

All new Intel versions (all bought within last 9 months).

I always prefer to let everyone else suffer the upgrade pain, then swoop in minus any bugs/issues.

Plus, I use Silo and waiting for fix (hopefully).

Missed the poll

Mac OS X 10.6.1
iPhone OS 3.1 :)

PS: I bought Cheetah3D just two weeks ago (and already feel quite comfortable with it)

Wow, the result of that poll was quite surprising. I expected more Tiger users.

So I will drop Tiger support probably sooner than I originally planed to create a Leopard 64bit version of Cheetah3D.

Thank you very much to all who gave their vote.

Bye,
Martin

Much more:wink:

...and many to come, with this v.5 and the future .x releases!

Martin, let me know if you consider to have an Italian localization in the future... glad to help where i can (personally i prefer to use the "standard" english version but maybe having more languages helps you selling even more C3D licenses...)
Another help would be having an official (featured) C3D stuff repo in the site, with scripts, materials etc. provided by you and users
just my 2 (euro) cents... (i'm quite "0" in marketing&co.)

my best wishes

Cheers,
Alessandro

Sorry I missed the poll but it is significant to mention that I am using Mac OS X 10.4 and I will continue to use 10.4 on this iBook until I have no choice but to reinstall. Considering the stability of 10.4, I can't see the need any time soon :)
